Jackie has a host of expertise and experience – truly understanding the biology and detail of her film subjects, she is also an accomplished field naturalist. Jackie trained at the world-renowned BBC Natural History unit and wasa key member of the creative team for the award winning Springwatch and Autumnwatch formats as well as a host of blue-chip and presenter-led wildlife films. She then went on to work in children’s TV – creating a wide range of wildlife formats whilst raising her own young children. She left the BBC to set up Maramedia in 2008 and was a lead producer on the company’s Emmy-nominated Highlands as well as Hotel Armadillo, Wild Way of the Vikings, Wild Shetland and BBC Scotland’s breakout obs-doc hit – Born to be Wild. Jackie has recently developed and secured an exciting new commission to transform Paddington creator Michael Bond’s cheeky guinea pig hero – Olga da Polga into a new children’s drama series.
